Echoterra Communications Text Messaging Program
By opting in to Echoterra Communications' text messaging program, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
Program Description
Echoterra Communications offers text messaging (SMS/MMS) to keep customers informed about their IT service engagements. Messages may include:
- Appointment confirmations, reminders, and scheduling updates
- Service status updates and completion notifications
- Invoice and payment reminders
- Responses to customer inquiries
- Account and billing notifications
- Occasional IT tips and promotional offers (if separately opted in)
How to Opt In
You may opt in to receive text messages from Echoterra Communications by any of the following methods:
- Website: By checking the SMS consent checkbox on our contact form at echoterra.net/contact
- Keyword: By texting START to (336) 949-8400 or any of our published business numbers
- Written consent: By signing a service agreement that includes text messaging consent language
- Verbal consent: By verbally requesting text message communication during a service engagement (confirmed in writing)
By opting in, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Echoterra Communications at the mobile number you provided. Consent to receive text messages is not required as a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your service activity.
- Transactional messages (appointment reminders, service updates, payment notifications): Sent as needed based on active service engagements.
- Promotional messages (IT tips, special offers): No more than 4 messages per month. Promotional messages are only sent if you have separately opted in to receive them.
How to Opt Out
You may opt out of text messages at any time using any of these methods:
- Reply STOP: Text the word STOP to any message you receive from us. You will receive a one-time confirmation message: "You have been unsubscribed from Echoterra Communications texts. You will receive no further messages. Reply START to re-subscribe or call (336) 949-8400 for help."
- Email: Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "SMS Opt-Out" and include your phone number.
- Phone: Call us at (336) 949-8400 and request to be removed from our text messaging list.
Opt-out requests are processed within 24 hours. After opting out, you will receive no further text messages from us unless you opt back in.

Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging rates from your mobile carrier apply to all text messages sent to and received from Echoterra Communications. Echoterra Communications does not charge any additional fees for text messages. Contact your mobile carrier for information about your text messaging plan.
Supported Carriers
Our text messaging services are designed to work with all major U.S. wireless carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint/T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and most regional, prepaid, and MVNO carriers. Carrier availability and support are not guaranteed and may vary. Some carriers may limit or restrict certain types of messages.
Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Regarding your text messaging information:
- No sharing: We will never sell, rent, lease, or share your mobile phone number or opt-in status with any third parties for their own marketing purposes.
- Limited sharing: Your phone number may only be shared with our telecommunications service providers (e.g., SignalWire, VoIP.ms) solely for the purpose of transmitting messages to you on our behalf.
- Data use: Phone numbers collected as part of our SMS program are used only for the messaging purposes described in these terms and in our Privacy Policy.
- Opt-in data: Records of your consent are maintained for compliance purposes and are not used for any other purpose.

Content and Liability
Text messages from Echoterra Communications are for informational purposes related to your IT service engagements. We are not responsible for incomplete or delayed message delivery due to carrier network issues, device compatibility, or other factors outside our control. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the text messaging program at any time with reasonable notice.
Age Restriction
Our text messaging program is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. By opting in, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number provided.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Text Messaging Terms & Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued participation in the text messaging program after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
